Maritime cyber-risk and assurance services

Independent assessment for vessels, systems and operations across Levels of Autonomy 1 to 4.

01

Cyber-risk assessment across LoA 1 to 4

Assess a vessel, system, retrofit, digitalisation project or operational scenario at the applicable Level of Autonomy. The assessment examines IT and OT dependencies, connected and automated functions, human oversight, operational consequences, supplier responsibilities, shore-based dependencies and existing controls. The result includes prioritised findings, practical actions and clearly stated evidence requirements.

02

Autonomy transition and design assurance

Assess how a proposed change in automation or autonomy affects cyber risk, operational control and assurance requirements. The review challenges system architecture, control allocation, human oversight, degraded modes, connectivity, fallback arrangements and the assumptions used to justify the design.

03

Supplier and system assurance

Independently examine supplier claims, technical documentation, interfaces and acceptance evidence. The review determines whether supplied systems and supporting evidence adequately address cybersecurity, integration, operational dependencies, failure behaviour and the intended Level of Autonomy.

04

Operational preparedness and governance

Test how people, systems and organisations respond to cyber incidents, connectivity loss, automation failure and changes in operational control. The service supports crewed vessels, increasingly autonomous operations, shore organisations and Remote Operations Centres where applicable.

05

MASS Code readiness

For vessels and projects within the relevant scope, assess readiness for the non-mandatory IMO MASS Code and its future development. The assessment considers relevant areas such as risk management, cybersecurity, connectivity, human oversight, remote operations, robust system design and supporting evidence. This work supports internal preparation, design review and assurance discussions. It does not constitute certification, classification approval or regulatory approval.
